IM Movement type

Hello Friends,

I like to know if there is a way I can create an IM Mvt type that can trigger a delivery document upon creation.

I have one plant with two storage location which are a few miles apart but when i do a transfer between them I need to create a BOL Print out everytime.

MY Idea was to create a delivery everytime I do a 311 Mvt in Mb1b, so that I can attach a BOL to it.

If you have an better way to doing this please let me know.

If you want to create a delivery why don't you create it in standard way?

You can use STO between storage locations within same plant:

SPRO > MM > Purchasing > PO > Set up STO > Set Up Stock Transfer Between Storage Locations

Hello Csaba,

I was trying to see if there is a way I can avoid STO. Can you please layout all the steps needed for STo between two St location of the same plant.

You can find many threads on the forum or materials on the net how to set up STO.

If STO is set up properly you have to activate SLoc to SLoc STO:

SPRO > MM > Purchasing > PO > Set up STO > Set Up Stock Transfer Between Storage Locations > Activate Stock Transfer Between Storage Locations

If you read SAP help of the mentioned customizing node you will see what you have to maintain:

Check whether you wish to use the issuing storage location in stock transport orders and maintain the indicator accordingly.
Make the settings in the following Customizing activities:
Check whether the assignment between delivery type and checking rule has to be maintained on a storage-location-specific basis. You can make the relevant settings under the menu option "Assign Delivery Type and Checking Rule According to Storage Location".
Maintain an implementation for the Business Add-In for determining the supplying plant and the issuing storage location if you wish to control the issuing storage location differently than is the case with the standard values.
Maintain the Storage-Location-Dependent Shipping Data for stock transfers between storage locations.
Set up the Shipping Point Determination According to Storage Location if necessary.
