Hi,
Im trying to upgrade from Crystal Server 2008 v0 to Crystal Server 2008 v1, and havent been able to find information on how to keep all information stored in the old installation. That would include all instances of documents, schedules and etc.
Exporting to a BIAR file doesnt solve my problem since it only exports documents, and not their instances and schedules, and when I try to install using the existing database (without resetting it) the installation doesn't install Server Intelligence Agent.
All help would be greatly appreciated
I would expect the upgrade to keep everything but you should already be backing everything up so definitely do that before. To do this, you'll want to
1) Bback up your CMS database using whatever system the particular database requires (SQL Server will be different than mySQL for example)
2) Backup your input and output file stores.
The following document is for Enterprise but the same general principles should apply.
