VYC00041 Error in Voyager

Hi,

I am trying to create Voyager Workspace based on BW Cube with MultProvider, but I am getting the error "The MDAS server encountered an erro:r (VYC00041)"

I am able to create the Voyager workspace based on basic BW Cube as well as Query on it.

Is this the issue\Bug in Voyager with BW Cube with MultProvider as source??

Any insight into this issue is appreciated.

Thanks in Advance.

    Hi Veera,

I don't think this has anything to do with cube. The problem is with MDAS server. Check if the server is running fine?

    • There are a large number of fixes related to Voyager in SP2 and latest fixpack fp 2.6 for XI Release 2 - please ensure that you do have all the latest fixes in place before you test the scenario. The fixes are related to MDAS Server stability.

Also, Voyager MDAS Server is a Java Process in which you can monitor Java Heap being used using JConsole(Ships with JDK 1.6). If you are running a really large data set, you may be running out of Java Heap that willl make the MDAS Process unstable and non-responsive. Apply the setting -Xmd 512 to the MDAS Server command line to limit the Java Heap it can use. This has been found to be the most stable setting.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your replies.

Sanjay: I saw that link earlier, but didn't find any work-around for the issue.

I'm able to create Voyager workspace with Standard Cubes and Queries, but I am getting this error only with the cubes which have MultiProviders.

Asish: I'm on BOXI 3.1 SP2 & FP2.5 now. I'll try to change the MDAS server settings to limit the Java Heap size and let you know the status.

    Any further insights are appreciated.

    Thanks in Advance.

      Hi there,

I know this is probably a little late, but I had a similar issue in Edge BI 3.1 SP3. For anyone else interested, the setting for the maximim JVM heap size in 3.1 is "-Xmxy", where y is the size you want to set it to (in multiples of 1024 and larger than 1MB).

You can use "k" and "m" for kilobytes and megabytes too.

To set this value to 512M, you would specify "-Xmx512m".
