Hello John - no, you cannot receive a quantiry of 200 for Item A into SAP B1, and then automatically split it into 50 for Item A and 150 for Item B. Not only is it not possible, it would in some fashion cause your Inventory Audit Report to be inaccurate (have to think that one through - that is what first comes to mind for me).

However, you could do the following: (a) place Purchase Order for 200 for Item A. (b) do a Goods Receipt PO for Item A for 200. (c) do a Goods Issue of Item A for 150. (d) do a Goods Receipt for Item B for 150.

Another alternative might be to set up Item B as a Bill of Material with Item A as the Child Component - maybe that would help???

Anyway, just my two cents worth. However, I scanned something for you yesterday. It seems like you are fairly new to SAP B1, so I would suggest you look into the following for SAP B1 and SQL. The Lewis book is fairly new; they combined SAP B1 User Guides together and put in some great notes, tips, comments, etc. Gordon Du's book is great for SAP B1 and SQL - you use one query out of the hunderds inside and you have paid for the book with that one SQL. The last book by Beaulieu is a good introduction to SQL - at least I found it helpful since I am self-taught in everything on SAP B1 and SQL. LOL - when I started with SAP B1, dinosaurs were still roaming the earth!!!
