LSMW - BP Transaction

Hello everyone,

Im trying to change some BP via LSMW, as we need to Change the Correspondence Language and the Country of those Customers.

When i do my Recording as start in Transaction BP, enter the BP ID, Press Enter, Double Click on the BP in the Result List -> Then SAP switches into the Overview Screen -> Click on Change Button on Top -> Change the two attributes -> Save

My Upload Files i created are correct and the converted Data was also correct in the System. But when i start my Recording, LSMW always jumps into these few Screens until it then is not working anymore. Data in Screenshots is from a Test System and not real

Screen 3 is never opening while i record, so of course my LSMW is stopping here. What am i doing wrong?

I appreciate your help, as i need to understand this Case for my SAP CRM Training Course.

Hi - before doing an LSMW, I recommend trying the MASS change transaction - that is a lot more efficient to use than LSMW for mass changes to business partners. Good luck

That is also an idea. Was not sure as im comming from ECC if all my tools from there exist in CRM as well.

Do you have an Idea what is the Problem with BP and LSMW? In ECC i never faced huge problems with Changing Stuff in XD02 for example.

My experience with BP and LSMW is that is a little fussy and you have to be careful that you are only changing 1 field and removing everything else with the LSMW

For transaction BP (if you are on SAP CRM) use the XIF adapter instead. I wrote this blog in 2005 and it was mainly still valid until 2015(last time I checked). You will want to use the Business Partner object type instead of Product (that blog use product master) but it mostly remains the same.
