Hi,
We separate our eligibility by the employee's status - exempt vs. non exempt. An exempt employee is eligible on the 1st of the month and a non exempt employee is eligible on the 1st of the month after 90 days waiting period.
We are able to set up the eligibility rule for the exempt/non exempt requirement. However, I want to check to see if we are using the best option to set up Benefits Adjustment Reason.
Current Config:
Benefits Adjustment Reason: New Hire
Open Period: 120 days
Since both exempt and non exempt are sharing the same adjustment reason, we want to extend the open period to 120 days to accommodate both statuses. Is this the best method? Please advise.
