What is the difference b/w System status and User status for a production order?

Any scenario where User status has some critical importance ?

In the Production order we identified several processes and created relevant User Status.

then based on system staus or confirmation we have code that selects relevant user status.

this allows us to generate specific reports for operations. Just a quick example.
