Upgrading Oracle during OS/DB migration

We are currently running our SAP R/3 Enterprise system on a Tru64

platform using Oracle version 9.2.0.8.0. The plan is to migrate the

O/S from Tru64 to HP/UX. We would also like to upgrade the

Oracle version during this time. Can you please answer these questions?

1. If we install Enterprise on the new HP/UX server and also install

Oracle 10G on the new server, can we just migrate the data (as part of

the OS/DB migration) from the old Tru64 server running Oracle version

9.2.0.8 to the new server running Oracle 10G?

2. If we need to perform an Oracle upgrade outside of the OS/DB

migration (question 1 cannot be performed), is it best to upgrade the

database on the "old" Tru64 Oracle 9.2.0.8 server to Oracle 10G?

OR

3. Should we upgrade the database to 10G after the OS/DB migration is

completed and the data now resides on the "new" HP/UX server?

Thank you,
