Unable to access SAP Server Manager

Hello experts

I am unable to access the SAP Server Manager (I am using the BPC Service Account). I get a message saying "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

I get the same message if I try opening other applications such as PowerPoint on the server (while logged in with the BPC Service Account credentials).

Rebooting the server corrects the issue for a while but then it returns again.

I access the server using Remote Desktop Connection.

We have a single server setup with:

Windows Server 2003 RE

SQL Server 2008 EE

BPC 7.0 Microsoft, SP 04

I have found a thread on the internet that suggest the following: "On the Windows 2003 server, go to add/remove windows components, then uninstall the Internet Explorer Enhanced Security component."

Here is the thread: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvrclients/thread/1b903da5-2740-440b-a1f1-de354a5c310e

Is it OK to uninstal this component? Does BPC use it?

Do you have any other suggestions for resolving this issue?

Many thanks

Tamara
