SMSY Problems: BI appearing in 20 different systems?

Hi All

I am currently having an issue with SMSY, as it is showing BI as 20 different systems. (This is in SMSY > Landscape Components > Systems). Our BI 7 system is also ABAP only.

I have checked how BI is reported in the SLD and all seems ok and all the components are correct.

To try and fix the issue I have tried the following:

1. Remove all entries for BI in Solution Manager, then re-run the LANDSCAPE FETCH job in SM37. (Did not Work)

2. Remove from Solution Manager and from Technical systems in the SLD and run RZ70, then LANDSCAPE FETCH job in SM37. (Did not Work).

We are using Solution Manager 7.01 SP5

Does anyone have any other ideas?

Hi,

You need to select relevant main instance.

1) Go to SMSY

2) Select your Bi system

3) Go to tab "Selection of main instance"

4) Click on change mode

5) Select abap instance as relevant

6) Select java also if its there

7) Save the changes

I have managed to find a way around this, however I am not too sure what the full effects will be.

But I have changed the systems component to BI and the other 19 systems have dissapeared!

The correct way is to maintain the system is what i have explained above.

But its up to you , if its working for you go ahead.

I did actually try that, but even when you select the element that is relevant you still have the other 19 systems BI is located in (SAP CRM, SAP EVENT MANAGEMENT, SAP ERP etc.)

Hi Phil,

For this you might want to go to header data tab at same location and select only your BI system i.e. Netweaver only .

Unselect if any other product is there.
