We have recently done the exercise for the removal of fixed cost from the standard cost estimate of materials. We did this by performing following steps.
1. Remove the cost elements related to the fixed activity types from cost components and additive cost in cost component structure.
2. Remove the fixed activity types from routing master data.
We did these steps for January 2019 costing run and have successfully removed the fixed cost from the cost estimate.
We moved the configuration in PRD and made the changes in master data of routing (Change number applicable from January) in December 2018.
We have noticed that actual confirmation posted for the fixed activities in December 2018, after the changes moved to PRD, are coming with zero value in product cost collector. I have checked the activity prices and they are already present in December. Our production consultant also confirmed that routing changes are only applicable from January.
I am not sure why this is happening, has anyone faced the similar issue? Or if anyone has any solution, please share.
