Hi Experts,

Can I increase size of field JrnlMemo of OVPM table ?

If Yes, please share how exactly I can do it ?

My customer has to enter long remarks in payment entry and the same should appear in SAP standard reports for example say General Ledger. In standard this field's size is 50 character onlyl.

Hi!

Add a UDF in Journal Screen to put your memo's. As rahul said, one field is connecting to some other field/Table

Hello All,

Again, please remember that modification of the B1 tables is not supported in any way. There are too many possible consequences for this action (upgrade failure, subsequent data processing, data loss, loss of support to name a few)

Should anyone see this type of request in the forums please adice strongly against; thanks to those already who have replied.

Hi Sameer......

Its might be technically possible but would not be advisable. Because one standard field connects to 'N' no. of tables so its not advisable to do this................

No it is not possible to change the size of any filed of SAP.

That is absolutely a No No action. You may check SAP Note 896891 Support Scope for SAP Business One to know more. Only UDF is allowed to use if you need more size for text.
