MB5B Movment type and storage location is reset

When I run the report MB5B with radio button "valuated Stock" active for a specific Plant and Movement Type, I get a Message "Movement Type is reset" and then the entered Movement Type disappears from the selection criteria.

However the report does not give me this message when the radio button "Storage Location/ Batch Stock" is active.

Hi Kunal,

Thanks for your instant reply.

There is no problem of authorization. I have checked that in SU53.

The message numbers of are as follows:

Movement type is reset

Message no. M7298

Storage location will be reset

Message no. M7284

It is the case in Standard SAP, that while exectuing MB5B, Storage location and Mvt type is Reset when the radio button "Valuated Stock" is active but does not reset when radio button "Storage Location/Batch Stock" is active.

Please tell me the business reason why does the report behave this way.

Summary

Symptom

When you display 'Material Stocks for Posting Date', inconsistent displays of value and quantity occur.

Cause and prerequisites

The valuated stock is to be selected.In addition, the selection is reduced to certain movement types.

Solution

Contained in Collective Note 195786!

If you implement the attached correction the restriction to the movement types is stopped when choosing the valuated stock.

In addition, maintain message 298 in message class M7 with the following text: Movement type is reset.

For this, use Transaction SE91.

hi it may be due to some authorisations missing

check as follows

first run mb5b u will get message

then in second window run transaction su53 here check that any error is there

if so then discuss with ur basis person

also let us know the message number and details
