Wrong Production Version is picked up during the costing run

2239 Views

Hi,

We use production versions for process orders as well as product costing.

The quantity structure is defined by a production version, which consists of a BOM and a master recipe.

I have a material for which i have 3 production versions 001, 002 and 003. All the 3 production versions are not locked and have the same lot size range. The valid to date for all the 3 versions is set to 31.12.9999.

The only difference is the valid from date. The valid from date differs on these 3 versions.

Not Locked

Now, during the costing run, i would expect that it picks up the first production version - 001 because it is not locked.

However, what happens during the costing run is that version 002 gets picked up, which happens to be the oldest version with valid from date = 16.12.2009. In effect, the costing results are not as expected.

Is this a correct behaviour?

Best Regards,
