Weu2019re on BI7, Enhancement Pack 1, Support Pack 6.

When I execute the query directly on the BI7 portal, I hits the following error:

*500 Internal Server Error*
The initial exception that caused the request to fail was:
java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException
java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException
at com.sap.ip.bi.bics.dataaccess.consumer.impl.selector.selection.ComponentList.getSingleMembers(ComponentList.java:987)
at com.sap.ip.bi.bics.dataaccess.consumer.impl.selector.MemberAccessComparator.prepare(MemberAccessComparator.java:91)
at com.sap.ip.bi.bics.dataaccess.consumer.impl.queryview.resultset.RsAxisTupleElementComparator.prepare(RsAxisTupleElementComparator.java:43)

at com.sap.ip.bi.bics.dataaccess.consumer.impl.queryview.resultset.RsAxis.sortTuples(RsAxis.java:2048)

Strange thing is only some of the query have this problem, some donu2019t.

Any idea what is wrong?

In BI7 portal, click on BEx Explorer ->BEx Analyzer.

However, if I execute this query directly from the Query Designer, then I donu2019t have error.

The Query Designer will also call-up the Portal and display the result on the IE. But why I hits the Internal Server Error when I execute the Query in the Portal directly?

Please advise, thanks.

I tried to run the Query in RSRT. In RSRT, thereu2019re two button u2013 ABAP Web and JAVA Web.

In RSRT, I enter the Query and click on JAVA Web, then the IE is opened and I entered the UID and Password. Then I hits the error as mentioned above.

In RSRT, I enter the Query and click on ABAP Web, then the IE is opened and I entered the UID and Password. And I got the result on the IE!!!

What I noticed is the URL for ABAP Web and JAVA Web is different.

What is the different between the ABAP Web and JAVA Web?

Which one we should be using? And how the user should normally access the Query?

Why am I getting the error if I use the JAVA Web? How can I solve it?

Please advise, thanks.
