Issue in identifying creation dates of individual id origins for same contact in segmentation

Hi Experts ,

We have a requirement to identify individual creation dates for the id origins for single contact in segmentation .

Contact A

Id - Origin B Id - origin c

How to get individual creation date for the id origins of same contact in segmentation ? Which attribute can help me ?

I tested it with creation date and time attribute but it will give same value for both id origins . its basically keeping the date and time of creation of golden record .

Thanks

Rashmi

    Hi Rashmi Ranjan Behera ,

You need to refer to the field "CREA_DATE_TIME" in the table CUAND_CE_IC_FT_D. I don't think this table is included in standard segmentation models. So you may end up creating a new data source and extending existing one.

However it sounds more technical requirement than a business one. If this is the case, I'd rather create a CDS view.

    Kind Regards,

    Hi Rashmi,

The creation date will take the Golden record only as that is created initially and later with additional FCETS it is just the contact enrichment which happens, if you still need the Fcet dates for segmentation then i guess it has to be custom implementation.

In addition I would also like to understand the requirement as to what would be the business use case for segmentation based on FCET.

    Thanks

    • Hi Vineet Kaul,Its a general welcome campaign scenario where a company is having many sister companies and they are bringing whole data to MKT Cloud . Now let say initially they load some data sources . At later stage when there will be data coming from different data sources first time , they want to send a mail to the contact .Company A Clothes Brands Retail BrandsNow when clothes data will come , the contact should be notified as welcome and when from retail first data will be coming , he will be notified as welcome . But basically golden record will be one only . Is there any attribute which can help me to identify when the facets got created in segmentation .RegardsRashmi

    Hi Rashmi,

Can you elaborate a bit on your requirement. If you are doing multiple brands, you should be leveraging Marketing Area in my view, and then you can further create segments based on marketing area each separately or one globally and then extract all those customers who fit your criteria rather than checking on date, maybe your requirements in more details may help me help you better.

    Thanks

    • Hi Vineet,

Just think of a big company which is having multiple small companies . All small companies have there own origin ids . We are having one master mkt system where all origin ids are coming and then merging into one single contact . Let say first phase we migrated some id origins and we need to send welcome email to contact as soon as new id origin is added to a existing contact.

We managed it in segmentation .

    Hi Rashmi,

For multiple companies, you can use the Marketing Area concept which I had mentioned previously & can leverage that. However, you can use the interactions to create the contact from new origin which can be of a different interaction type and use the interaction date & time to segment it accordingly.

    Thanks

    • Hi Vineet ,

Yes initially , we thought of using the interaction type but its coming through the API contact and we have a restriction on creation date and time also as it ill not change after adding a new id origin as it will keep the initial date time . We designed the segmentation in such a way to handle that scenario.

      Regards
