Tatjana,

Do you mean that this is a standalone system, like a sandbox, or this is your DEV system? If this is a QAS or PRD system, the best practice would be to make the change in DEV and then transport it through, as Nicolas suggests.

If this is a sandbox or DEV system and you can't make the change, then your system settings may be preventing it. You can check these in SE03 (under Administration -> Set System Change Option) for global, software component, and namespace settings, and in SCC4 (linked from SE03 via a button) for client-specific settings. You should not change these settings in PRD except under very controlled circumstances, as that represents not only an audit risk, but also an opportunity to make your system landscape inconsistent. In PRD (and by extension, in QAS for testing purposes), these should be set to make the system "not changeable."

Cheers,
Matt

Hello,

Note 205487 - Custom text on SAP GUI logon screen mentions that: The creation/changing of this text [ZLOGIN_SCREEN_INFO] requires a changeable system. For production systems, we therefore recommend that you maintain the text in the upstream system and then transport it.

Best regards, Nicolas

Hello,

Why do you not want to transport it ? You could follow the procedure described in this thread : How to display a specific SAP logon screen per system?

@nick.loy's reply:

----

Create 3 different logon screen messages for 3 systems...follow below steps

  1. Create PRO logon screen message A and transport the same to PRO ssytem
  2. Change logon screen message A in DEV for QAS, and transport the same to QAS
  3. Change QAS logon screen in DEV for DEV....do not transport to any system

----

Best regards, Nicolas
