Hi All,
We're in the process of upgrading to ECC6. We have employees both in Ireland and the US. The problem is that the US employees are seeing their dates in the leave request in Irish format (ddmmyyyy) instead of their own format(mmddyyyy).
We have checked their date preferences in R/3 in su01(user maintainence) and even though the date format is set up to output US style, it's outputting Irish style.
I found a post where is said to set the language on the user in user administration but while this solves our problem, we have a number of employees and this would be a tedious, time consuming activity. Also, going forward there is room for forgetting this setting. Is this the only way to do it?
So can anyone tell me how the date format is selected on the leave request? I'm assuming it's diffenent now because the leave request is a web dynpro, is it even possible to configure it so that your dates are output according to the values in transaction su01?
Many thanks,
Liz.
Can also set language on browser.

it depends upon language setting of the user and browswer as well
Please read the note 947081
check the language being set, Su01 is just one of the many settings you can influence the date settings
