Hello,
I would like to know if there is any step by step implementation guide or blogs that describes how to implement SSO between Sharepoint 2007 and SAP Netweaver Portal.
We already have Windows AD authentication for our Sharepoint site and would like to leverage that for logging onto the Portal. So when the user is authenticated from once for Sharepoint and they click on a link to the EP website it should ask for user id and password again.
I have been reading documents on using SPNego module, Kerberos ticket based single-sign-on etc but am confused which is the right method to use.
Please help.
Thanks
Hi
Can you share the solution that you implement?

Hi Raj,
what is the best approach depends on your situation, environment as well as future plans. E.g. MOSS SSO with User Mapping could be sufficient, but is unadvicable from a management viewpoint if your user population to the SAP Portal is large. Another consideration: is SSO from MOSS to SAP EP the only, and will remain the only landscape setup ? Or are other applications and/or platforms foreseen, eg SAP CRM, SAP PLM, Oracle products, .. ? In that case, it would be better not to commit to a bilateral and specific approach, but instead apply open standards: SAML 2.0. OpenSSO is a product which looks promising here, but also Microsoft's Geneva: claims-based IM solution.

Hi William,
We need to exchange data between sharepoint and SAP. As there are many applications already using SAP, we have to develop many web services for each feature we would like to use from SAP.
So, the question is instead of integrating that way, if we create links on Sharepoint (2010), which access SAP Portal, is it quite simple? Does it popup window with SAP portal and asking for credentials first? How single sign-on can help me on this? The user wants to get into Sharepoint with their login, but when clicking the link of SAP, it should open SAP Portals straight. Is it feasible?
I also thought using iViews webpart on Sharepoint, but I am not sure, it the SAP portal would show on that webparts without any single sign on configuration.
Thanks in advance,
Alpesh
