Scenarios is we recv 100 full cylinders and after consumption they become empty..so there are two materials FULL and EMPTY. when we do the GRN we enter full cylinders in our stocks. with return PO we dont reduce the full cylinder stock from our inventory. thus we have to convert the full cylinders to empty ones by 309 then return them to vendor thru 161...is this right?

Dear Kareena...

When are recv 100 FULL cylinders as MAT-A, system will keep MAT-A in the inventory unless we tell it to convert these in to EMPTY cylinders thru some Mvt type. we have to transfer post FULL cylinders to EMPTY cylinders, only then the FULL numbers will reduce as much we have transfer posted. I hope you can understand the scenarios now.

I have already given the solution in the previous thread,

Do seperate entry for Gas ( Mtypr 101 )& Cylinder material. ( Mtype 501)

After consumption of Gas material return the Cylinder material with 502 mtype.

Hope this clears ur doubt..
