Master Data Move from Prod to Development Client

Hi All , Can any one please guide me that i want move only master data from Prod client to development client . for that client copy is enough with SAP_UCUS profile ?? or is there any method ?? if i want both master data in development client what i can do ?? i can do it import /export method ??

Thank you for quick response. i want only prod master data move to development client, this is my requirement . if i move prod master data with into DEV client then all configuration in DEV client will be loose ?? if yes , what i can do ? please help out me .

Can you please tell me difference between Configuration ,customization and Integration with simple examples . who is the responsibility to do ? functional or ABAPer ?

Hello Raju,

unfortunately SAP does not offer any functionality that would let you copy only masterdata. You can check the client copy profiles, but this way you can copy entire client (customizing + transactional data + master data) or just customizing (there is a few other options, please have a look at https://help.sap.com/SAPhelp_nw70/helpdata/en/99/0a2a887e2511d2a6250000e82deaaa/frameset.htm)

The mentioned profile SAP_UCUS will copy entire customizing and user master record, which means all configuration will be transferred together with users (you won't have to create them again), but it won't copy transactional or master data.

Client copy is the way to go if you want to transfer entire client. If you want to use it to refresh a development client, please consider all risks that come with such approach (for example you will loose open configuration in DEV that didn't reach QA or PRD)
