Currency issue in KP26

Dear All,

We have define 1 Controlling Area and 2 Company Codes. Controlling Area Currency is GBP. CoCd1 Currency is GBP and CoCd2 currency is USD.

When we try to enter Activity Prices for Cost Center belonging to CoCd2 where currency is USD, system still saves the values in GBP. This creates a problem when we go for Manual Activity allocation in KB21N.

I could see an option on KP26 Screen (Settings --> User-defined Currency). However, this option comes by default as disabled.

My first question is to how to make this option as enabled?

Second question is, how to meet this kind of highly logical requirement?

I have also tried saving values in User Settings but of no help. KSBT report still converts the value from GBP to USD. However, the user need to enter the values in KP26 in USD.

Thanks,

Shalin Shah

Hi,

in SAP standard planning layouts the currency of the activity rate entered in KP26 is the CO-area currency. If you want to enter values in comp. code currency, define your own planning layout by copying the layout you use and change the value fields in the layout.

Customizing: Controlling / Cost center Acc / Planning / Manual Planning / User-defined planning layouts...

After the layout is created it needs to be assigned to the planner profile thats used if you enter plan data, otherwise the layout will not appear in the planning transaction.

Best regards, Christian

Hi,

I tried the same. However, when I tried to insert the Column with the help of "Key figure with Characteristics" and assigned key figure "Plan Fix Price in Object Currency" and save it; system issues an error message "Define only one currency indicator as ready for input". To remove this error message, I will have to make this field as "Display only"

This is not serving my purpose. I want the user to be able to enter Activity Prices in KP26 in Company Code Currency USD though my Controlling Area currency is GBP.

Please suggest.

Thanks,

Shalin Shah

Hi,

After copying a layout change all the key figures to object currency. Do not add additional columns.

Alternativly just create a layout from scratch.

Kind regards
