Using BRF plus

Hi SAP experts.

When creating business partners on HR master data (personnel numbers) only two company codes could be specified. Let’s say we need additional company code to specify while automatically maintaining such business partners.

It would be interesting to explore BRF plus functionality for this purpose. I am exploring SAP help portal and relevant blogs, but in the meantime I would like to ask a general question.

As far as I cloud tell – rules and resulting tables could be maintained using BRF plus. I am right in understating that in order to use BRF+ functionality for this purpose there still some ABAP development would be need to lunch the relevant rules (for example, in BADi)?

Hi Natalia Timoshenko,

Code will be automatically generated for the BRF+ function(which will contain all the rules and decision tables). This code keeps on changing as and when rule is changed. It can be used anywhere based on your requirement. So, ABAP development changes are required but not any coding.

"ABAP development would be need to lunch the relevant rules" - yes, you are right. You need to call the BRF+ function from ABAP code. but then that is much more simple and modular than maintaining everything as ABAP code.

BRF+ framework provides a cool report to generate a template code to call BRF+ function - FDT_TEMPLATE_FUNCTION_PROCESS
