Activities to be carried out if the receiver system for PI system is down pre and post down time.

Hello team,

I have a dual stack PI 7.4 version system.PI system is connected to SNC system via XI channel.If SNC system is having downtime what activity needs to be done pre and post downtime.

    You could start or stop channel in Communication Channel Monitoring. See attached screenshot.

    Hi Varun,

    Stop all sender channels prior to system downtime.

    After target system is up and running ,restart the communication channels and resend stuck messages.

    Check if all receiver channels are in green status after target system is up and running.

    Hello Varun,

    Not sure the SNC system is a sender or receiver in the scenario.

    If SNC system is down, all communication channels in PI system will poll messages from sender or send messages to receiver but could fail to deliver finally. So in order to avoid NDLV messages in PI system, you could stop these channels when SNC system is down.

    When it's up and back to be running, just start these channels.

    Does the RFC's to SNC system would vanish due to its down time.
