IPC special scenario

Hi Gurus,

I have a scenario I need to design so please help me with.

During in-process inspection I need to perform the following:

I have a master recipe with 2 phases of quality inspections.

At the 1st phase I'll have 3 samples with certain MICs, let's say X1, X2 and X3

At the 2nd phase I'll have 4 samples with MICs: X4 and X5

So how can I design the recipe in a way that in trx. QE51N I find under my inspection lot 7 samples, in the 1st 3 samples only MICs X1, X2 and X3 are visible and under the other 4 samples I have MICs X4 and X5

Regards,

MaX

Hello Max,

Try this way,

Create a Sample drawing procedure where do necessary settings as I mention below.

In the field "ToPartSampleNo" Enter 1 and under Number of Physical Samples enter "3" in the field "Fixed number"

Now press "F8" or click on the > button to go to next partial sample.

Again in the field "ToPartSampleNo" Enter 2 this time and under Number of Physical Samples enter "4" in the field "Fixed number"

Save this SDP.

Now go to your Recipe (Master Recipe or Routing) and assign this Sample Drawing procedure to QM Header Data screen.

In the first Operation where you need three physical samples for recording result, just enter "1" (This is the partial sample number of the SDP) in the field Par. Sample, (this is the 23rd column in the Characteristic Over view screen of the Master recipe, just before the decimal places)

Now similarly for the second operation for which you need 4 samples to be generated for RR, enter 2 in the Par. Sample.

Save.

Now process the fresh inspection lot, you will find the result as per your expectation.

If there is any query kindly revert with the screen shots of your settings you have done as per my instructions.

Dear MAX,

You have a recipe with two operations where you have to do Quality, at first phase you need 3 samples for which you need to check 4 MIC's and at another phase you need to check 4 samples with only 2 Mics, if it is so the do following:

For 1st Phase assign that 3 MIC's and assign sampling scheme reveling to 3 samples.

For 2st Phase assign remaining 2 MIC's and assign sampling scheme reveling to 4 samples.

You can define separate sampling schemes and assign it to separate sampling procedures which you can assign to different phases.

Please correct me if i have understood your problem.

Hi,

I think follwoing can be helpful for you:

- Create Master recipe with two different operation ( phaes) with operation having three MIC and second with two MIC.

- USe the physical sample concept to generate 7 physical samples in the inspection lot.

- Use the inspection point also along with physical sample.

- In the inspection point customization, you can have custom function module for the validation & F4 help of values (of physcial samples) in inspection points to suit your requirements..

Hope this thought process will help you to build your requirement into the system

Thanks

Hi SUMIT

I already thought of this, but in this case I think that in each sample I'll see the 7 MICs....what do you think?

Hi,

MICs would be divided by two different operations out of which 3 would be assigned to one operation and rest to another operation.

Thanks

Yes Sumit I know this, my point is when the physical samples are created, in trx QE51N, I'll see my 7 samples, in all the samples I'll see the 2 operations (phases), what I want is, in the 1st 3 samples I see only one operation, and the 2nd operation in the rest of samples. How can I make this?

Hi,

For that, you can have your own custom build function modules(with your own logic) which can be assigned to the inspection point for the F4 help value and in the validation of F4 value for inspeciton point fields.

Thanks

Sorry Sumit I didn't get this, you mean that this FM will enable me from choosing which tests to be assigned to which sample?

In the receipe, for each characteristic, specify a different paritial sample number.

For the first operation, specify partial sample number one with a fixed sample size of 3. you should get three samples created for the characteristics in operation one.

In the second operation, specify partial sample number two with a fixed sample size of 4. You should get four samples creaed for the characteristics in operation two.
