Database replication using SAP PO

We have a source system which does not allow SAP PO to update any of the tables after processing the records.

There is no staging table nor a flag to indicate if a record is processed. But creation date and time field against each of the record. Everyday there will be 1000's of records for processing from DB to SAP.

Because of the limitations of not being able to update DB tables, source system is advising to have an interim DB and make a copy of all the tables. And this DB/table replication needs to be done on a daily basis. The records will be further processed from this interim DB to SAP. My concern is on the SAP PO load if all records have to processed in one shot from Source DB to Interim DB. Can you please suggest the right approach to handle this scenario? Should it be done using SAP PO? If not what is the right tool?

SLT may be a better tool for real-time replication, alternatively ETL tools like SAP Data Services.
