I have a question. This is my scenario:
I have Materials A, B and C. Material C goes inside B and B goes inside A. They are all configured as Procurement Type "E" with no special procurement. I create Production Orders for all of them and receive each in stock.
The issue I have is; there are certain components inside material C that I want to know if they are available before I release a Production Order for material A. Essentially, I would like to run a Material Availability in Production Order for A and have the system tell me if any components that go into C are missing.
So far, the only two options I've found are to configure Materials B and C as Direct Production or Phantom. That way I can either have collective orders, where availability happens for all 3 orders at the same time, or I have the components of C directly inside the Production Order for A.
The problem is, I need to keep track of the stock for B and C, I need to confirm the goods receipt of those. I cannot achieve this with either Direct Production or Phantom assemblies.
My question, is there a way to either:
1. Use Collective Orders between A, B and C while still being able to do goods receipt in B and C?
2. Perform a "cascading" Material Availability of the components of C, in the Production Order for A?
Any suggestions? Thank you.
