Hello gurus,
we have installed SAP MDM server on one AIX server and Oracle database on a different AIX server. In MDM console, I can mount MDM server without problems. But when I right click the MDM server and select "DBMS settings" and fill in the following:
- DBMS server: SID.WORLD
- User name: Oracle database user
- Password: Password of Oracle database user
and click OK, get the following error message: Error retrieving DBMS settings: Unable to connect with Database Server
Is there any skilled guy who has a clue to this? I assume that user, under which SAP MDM runs (SIDadm) should have access to Oracle client directory (/oracle/client/10x_64/instantclient) in order to be able to load libclntsh libraries. But where should this be defined? Should this be put into sidadm user's PATH variable or any other variable (like LIBPATH for example?)
I would like to say that mentioned connection method is working fine when connecting from MDM console to Development system, where where SAP MDM and Oracle run on the same machine.
Thanks and Regards!
