Crystal Reports 11 closes immediately

I recently moved my crystal installation from one computer to another, on the new computer my license key works to install it but then when i open crystal i am prompted with the license manager, my key is valid but after i enter it crystal closes immediately.

any suggestions?

Can you specify the exact version?

Is it Crystal Reports XI or Crystal Reports 2011 ?

In both cases it looks like CR installed without Admin rights. The best practice - right-click setup.exe and select "Run as Administrator" when installing Crystal Reports on the latest Windows versions.

My suggestion - reinstall with Admin rights.

Does the keycode exist in the following Registry Key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\SAP BusinessObjects\Suite XI 4.0\Crystal Reports\Keycodes\CR Dev

version 2011 installed with Admin rights.

very interesting. I have this exact same issue with 2016. I installed it about a month ago, and last night it would display the license key as soon as it started up, I'd click ok, and it would then exit from Crystal. Odd that this should just start happening after a month of no problems.

Win 10 x64, all the latest patches, Sophos, and CR 2016.
