Opportunity Type ZOPK only as a Follow up to another Opportunity Type ZOPP

Hi,

I have the following requirement.

There is an opportunity type "ZOPK" which need to be created only as a follow up to another opportunity type "ZOPP".

ZOPP is a kind of a Top Level Opportunity which can be created independently without any previous transaction.

ZOPK needs to be restricted such that it can be created only as a follow up and not independently.

This means in the Create Opportunity option only ZOPP needs to be displayed and not ZOPK.

ZOPK should appear only in the folloow up transactions button in the ZOPP transaction.

There is a Mandatory functionality in SD where a Quotation can be made mandatory for an Order. I need something similar to that in CRM

Hi,

are you on CRM 70 or CRM 60?

first step ist to maintain the copy controll in customizing to allow this opportunity type to be follow up from the other type.

Second: To be sure that your opportunity type is only used as follow-up you have to change the logical link in the navbar customizing for create opportunity. Only the process_type which is allowed to be created directly has to be entered here.

Hi,

you can maintain the process types in the customizing for navigation bar profile.

There in the logical link as a parameter.

I was able to create the Logical links for the Opportunity type directly.

Hi,

I'm not too sure about customizing for this scenario, but it is possible if you are willing to enhance the class/method cl_crm_uiu_bt_get_proctypes=>get_proctypes_for_create.

Hello Arvind,

Please go to transaction type ZOPK's customizing settins, remove 'ICW Interaction Center Web Client' from 'Channel'. Then this transaction type will not be shown in the pop up list when you create a new quotation.

But it still can be found in the follow up list, if the copy control is correctly maintained.

The Channel setting is not maintianed for any of my opportunities.

It is already empty.
