Training Requirement for SAP Plant Connectivity (PCo) 2.1

As you may be aware that PCo 2.1 is currently in Ramp-up phase. We are trying to guage the training requirement for PCo among consultants. Typically an SAP ME or SAP MII would require the knowledge of PCo for shopfloor connectivity. Please let me know if you see a need for PCo training.

So, you are saying you are not going to put out the 'Help' or 'Training Guide'?

All of the standard Guides, Help Docs, and RKT / OKP materials will be available (similar to what's already out there for PCo 2.0) - I think he's asking about a formal SAP Education classroom course.

I don't think a formal class would be required for setting up the source agents that would replace UDS functionality (like OPC and OleDB). For the agents that support it, setting up Agent Instances to trigger notification messages to MII could benefit from some kind of hands-on training, or at least some usable examples from both PCo and MII that demonstrate the details. Some of the other functionality, like setting up EWM RPC Destination agents, or the extensions to PCo to support SAP Manufacturing Executing will definitely benefit from hands-on classroom training.
