Availability control on Budget Control System (BCS) Tolerance Profiles

Hi,

Is there any other option to deactivate or assign a tolerance profiles with warning message to some commitment items in combination to fund centers, apart from derivation strategy for tolerance key?

I have a scenario where aprox. 5000 commitment items for a fund center have availability control and for some others don't. This condition changes per year, so the maintainance of this derivation strategy can be very complicated.

Does anybody have another option?

Hi,

Is it combination of fund centre with CI which requires special treatment or only the commitment item itself? In the last case, I'd suggest to use some field in master data of CI and based on the value of this field define a rule for tolerance profile. If it's for combination, I cannot see any other option: these combinations have to be maintained somewhere - whether in derivation strategy or in Z-table - it does not matter. If maintaining these combinations in standard transaction is annoying (which I can understand), think of option of direct update of the derivation table from Excel or other data source.

Regards,

Eli

Hello Adriana,

There is a badi in the IMG:BAdI: Enhance Derivation Strategy for Tolerance Profile of AVC Ledger.

Perhaps if you use this badi, you would just need to maintain this badi along the years. At least, it would mean only one object to maintain instead of so many combinations of commitment items & funds center.

If the condition to use either one tolerance profile or another is year-dependent, you might use a customer table to associate each tol.profile to each fiscal year. Then, in your badi, you could determine your tol.profile depending on the year in use, among other conditions....

Is that an option?
