No Standard SAC Navigation on CDS S4/Live Models posible ?

Hi,

I cannot perform SAC standard navigation like "Filter" on a S4 Live Modells based on a CDS Analytical Query.

Development Path:

1) Set up a direct Live Connection IH1100 to an S4 System (DEMO21 1809):

4) On 2CCSDSALESVLMQ build SAC Data Model Model Type Analytic Model Name: CSDSALESVLMQ:

5)Build a SAC Story Page with data model CSDSALESVLMQ:

6) Using Datamodel / CDS Parameters Echangetype = M , Displaycurrency = EUR

7) There are no interactive filter operations possible on the SAC Story page:

Hello Henry,

... yes with some extra widgets and afford you get a bit more with the work arrounds mentioned,
also the design gets crowded and cumbersome to manage.
Unfortunately You get some errors with the work arrounds.

The question was/is "Why is Standard Filter Navigation on the value of a characteristic for CDS Hana Live access models not possible ?

And in the follw up: Why the following errors

A bit of an overkill, setting up a seocnd model just for filtering - imaging You have a huge data amount.
An application with this work arround also gets cumberosem to manage and to operate .
No Standard operation possible.
11.2.) Setup linked analysis for two widgets

Left is Widget:
"HANAL Live - CSDSALESVLMQ Analytics - Sales Volume

Based on CDS View C_SalesVolumeAnalyticsQry
= ABAP View CSDSALESVLMQ

= Query 2CCSDSALESVLMQ "

Right is Widget:

11.3.) Linked Analysis definition from Left to right does not work - No navigation on right side possible

hi,

You are nearly there - try switching to the Designer tab (rather than Controls, as per your last screenshot)

then you can set filters at chart level .

you can also add input controls at story level .

you can also use 'linked analysis' and 'filter on datapoint' to get a navigation effect
