Let's assume I have some embedded IoT devices which I want to connect to the IoT Gatway MQTT Broker (Cloud). The devices are really constrained in terms of capabilities. I am already happy that they can send data via TLS.
How am I supposed to debug in such environments? We had e.g. the case of a slightly malformed topic or payload.
1) The devices are not easily accessible and quite constrained.
2) Wireshark is not possible, as there is no way to disable security (or is there?) and thus we cannot easily intercept traffic.
3) There seems to be no way to turn the Cloud MQTT gateway in a debug or trace mode, to see if something arrived at all (or to which topic)
Is it possible to see debug or trace information on MQTT gateway (cloud) - if so how, or to disable security (would at least help in some scenarios)? For PoC we can use a second stand-alone MQTT broker for testing (very inconvinient though!), but this is a no-go for any production-like scenario.
Any advices? Did I miss something in the documentation?
