multi-language support

Hi Experts,

can I configure personnel areas in two languages so that the system displays the personnel area using the log on language? how about other objects like organization unit, position, personnel..?

Hi,

Yes, you can do it for almost every configuration, but except personnel area, pay scale type and area.

Organizational structure is master data. In IT 1000 you can see field language key where you can store name of object in any available language and it will be displayed according with log on language.

For the configuration there are text tables (table name + T) where you can store translation of your configuration.

is there any way to assign two language key to one object, that is two records with different language key but same organization ID in table HRP1000?

Hi Shaoming,

yes you can assign multiple languages in country grouping, eg suppose u have eng, spanish and french u can take MOLGA 99 and assign all Personnel Area to MOLGA 99

In the respective IMG Nodes using menu; GO To-Translation we change description for each languages in MOLGA -99

after this config u will be able to see the different screen as per the logon language.
