search ni SDN & you will get plenty of replies for the defienation of sampling procedure & valuation mode.

I would like to add some points about yor next question.

+ is it possible to create a inspection lot in procurement GR with defining sampling procedure.+

Generally sampling procedure is defined only in two places.

1.If you are inspecting with task list then in inspection plan ,against each MIC/char.

2.if task list is not used then in QM vew inspection set up,sampling procedure is used.

Your sample size of the lot & individual is char is determined by the sampling procedure that you have used.

When you create a lot against GR ,it will calculate the sample size based on the sampling procedure'sample type & valuation will be done as per valuation mode.

I hope this will add some value.

Hi,

Sampling procedure is the transaction / area where you can define sampling type ( 100% or % based or using sampling scheme or fixed samples) and its valuation mode (mainly manual valuation or SPC inspection).

You can also define inspection points in this transaction. If you need to do SPC or repeated inspections you should use free inspection points etc.

If you assign sampling type as 'using sampling scheme' then you should specify which sampling scheme to be used. If it is fixed sampling you can define number of sampling o be done.

Defining of sampling procedure is must other wise how the system will know how many samples you are required to check.

Hi.

Sampling procedure is must if you keep in MIC --control indicator -- sampling procedure check box on.

It useful calculate sampling qty.

Valuation it is always better to keep manual valuation in valuation mode in sampling procedure.

If you are using sampling drawing procedure in inspection plan then in sampling procedure you need to keep sampling management radio button on to calcualte physical sample qty.
