Hello:
After clicking the "Edit" button in the Report and Layout Manager to open a Crystal Reports-based Purchase Order, I add a field and click "Save".
When I reopen the Crystal Report, the field that I added is gone. In other words, the change is not saving.
How can I get the save to "take"?
Thanks!
John
I figured this out. You have to save the Crystal Report under a new name and, then, import the report into a new Layout using the Report and Layout Manager window.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Nice to figure these annoyances out after having translated a report with the Translation Management Tool.
Now because
1) "reportA" can no longer be changed (we have NO idea why and when the report became "write-protected" out of the blue),
AND
2) Saving "reportA" under a new name "reportB" and then importing translation XLIFF-files (previously exported from reportA) into reportB is not working as the importer complains it needs to be reportA
We effectively have to do all the translation on the newly copied reportB over again.
Or do we miss some "secret" options somewhere?

What's the next step after saving it under a different name, then, and allowing for the changed report to be used by Business One?

You can only edit system report and then save as other file. Direct save to edited system report is not possible.
