Fixed Asset - NBV of asset canot fall below zero

Hi,

I have an asset which was capitalized on 12/01/2015.

the capitalization amount is INR 28560 with 36 Months of useful life.

when i am posting a manual depreciation

as on 11/01/18 it is giving me error as "NBV of asset " Test " cannot fall below zero, Change the total ".

I tried posting Manual Depreciation on 31/01/15 - INR 9520 ( so that i can post 3 different MD for year 2015, 16 & 17)

But its posting for the first year (2015) and giving the same error when trying to post for 2016 (INR 9520).

My client want to Depreciate the full amount of 28560 as on 11/01/18.

Q1) What can be the way to resolve this Issue?

Q2) Can anyone enlighten me why this error is arising so that i can understand the root cause.

Hi

check the WDV for the asset as on last depreciated period. Also note the memo value. The MD or unplanned depreciation should not exceed this amount.

We are using Depreciation Type as SLM.

Please let me know what can i do in this case.
