Dear Experts,
I am newbie on SAP Business ByDesign. We have a new ByDesign implementation with customer specific solution.
As standard subscription will come with test tenant and production tenant. For best practice, is it required to purchase additional "Permanent Test Tenant" for development purpose?
Kindly help or recommend others best practise landscape if any.
Thank in advance.
Dear JW,
No !! If you have two licensed tenants ( test and PRD ) until you trigger deletion it will not be deleted by SAP.
I will share some blogs for tenant scnearios which can be helpful for you 🙂

Dear JW,
It is not mandatory to have an additional tenant for development. You can use same tenant for development and as well as for testing, it depends on your use case and requirement.
You can create your solution for this specific customer on the customer's test tenant please see the help section Create a Patch on a Customer's Test Tenant [page 145] in our help documentation of Cloud application Studio.
Below are the useful blogs for detail information hope this helps.

Thanks Anant for the prompt response. 🙂
We are fine to do development on test tenant, however we get to know that the test tenant will remove by SAP anytime without notice after go-live during SDK workshop. Is it true (unable to get relevant information from SAP website)? We have concern about the custom development will gone after test tenant being removed by SAP.

JW
