EPM Member selector - Merge members not working

Hello All,

I was trying to use the Merge members function in EPM member selector. I dont know if I am doing something wrong or the function is not working as it is supposed to be.

I have seen the below Q&A forum and replicate the same. Q&A-Vadim's

Account dimension in rows and Time in column. The report comes out like below. When I unhide i see the context member as Account. Am i missing something?

This is the only thread I can find anywhere on this subject. What is the purpose of the merge functionality. When using it, what are the expected results. Thanks.

I just added those as an example to show that Merge function doesn't work as it should be. That isnt a real world scenario for sure. But any idea why it wont merge? I've also tried other similar combinations with different dimensions and none of them work.

Sorry, but do you really think that it's possible to have LEQ (balance sheet liability) account as a base meber under income statement Sales account??? Only INC accounts under Sales....
