Regarding Sap Note @2232584

Dear Expert,

Regarding sap note-2232584 which tells about enabling Datasource for ODP/ODQ extraction by using program (BS_ANLY_DS_RELEASE_ODP -This programs enable all the data source for ODP).

I have a scenario where existing ECC System is connected to several BW system which use extractor with old delta queue (RSA7). There is a new system which is (BW4HANA) connected to same ECC which needs data source with ODP enabled.

1. Ques- Does applying this note will impact existing delta queue. Is it okay to make all data source enable for ODP using program BS_ANLY_DS_RELEASE_ODP. or We should be doing it selectively using program (RODPS_OS_EXPOSE).

2. Is it possible to load data in BW4HANA without disturbing the existing delta queue which is being load to other BW system from the same data source extractor?

Please let me know if there are any consequence.

Hi,

ODP enabling doesn't have impact on existing queue.

These are different mechanisms.

Non ODP queue will "live" its own life in RSA7.

New, ODP queue will be managed, separately, in ODQMON.

Both queues are independent.

It is definitely okay to make all data source enable for ODP using program BS_ANLY_DS_RELEASE_ODP.
