NewGL and PSM-FM are Active,

Hi,

We are doing a new Implementation in SAP ECC 6.0. And as part of the Implmentation we have to work on New G/L and on PSM-FM module.

The following is my specific question.

1. As i have activated PSM-FM, i am able to view both the Totals Tables, FMGLFLEXT and FIGLFELEXT.

My question is, do i need to create two ledgers such as one with Leading Ledger and assign Totals Table: FIGLFLEXT and a Non Leading Ledger with FMGLFLEXT. By which i can assign the Scenarios provided by SAP in both the Totals Tables as per my requirement. Or do i need to have only one Leading Ledger with Totals Table as FAGLFLEXT or FMGLFLEXT, but using customizing function and assign scenaios to add either Profit center (If i have chose FMGLFEXT Totals Table) or add fund Accounting (If i have used FAGLFLEXT).

2. Do we need to use only one Totals Ledger (Either FMGLFLEXT or FAGLFLEXT) when we are implementing both New G/L and PSM-FM(We are a Private Company).

Thanks for a quick reply. But can you just advise as per your experience did SAP recommends or SAP customers in Private Organizations use FAGLFLEXT or FMGLFLEXT when New GL is the primary importance and wwould like to have Funds Management being active in SAP.

Sorry for a revised question, this is because have seen in some other Forum person recommending to use FMGLFLEXT rather of FAGLFLEXT.

Have gone through the notes provided and i am sure we donot have a requirement to use Fund wise B/S or P&L Account. ANd we are not a Public Secor Undertaking.

Hi,

About three times, i implemented PSM-FM for private sector. I use FAGLFLEXT and leading ledger 0L.

I used it because the requirement of business and refer to note 840783, see sub title Funds Management is active, but you are not a public sector customer
