Is there a way to add additional items to the Mailing Label Type on the Mailing Label wizard?

I would like the setup for Avery L7418

thanks

You can always choose "User Defined Type" as the mailing label type and specify the dimensions for the page.

If you're looking to "permanently" define the type, the different label formats seem to be in the file C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Common\3.5\bin\Labels_en.txt. (en is the language code...) I don't know if modifying this file would cause any kind of service / licensing issues with SAP, so modify at your own risk...

I created a user-defined label, and can set the dimensionshowever, it still shows that there are 4 labels across and 9 downand I cannot change that. I want to create one label(based on chosen parameters) and have it print to a 2 in by 1 in Zebra label (I am using a Zebra TLP 2824) Printer. I was able to get it to printbut it showed to small to scan. I was using the largest font I could to fit it on the Crystal print out (using portrait mode) if I used Landscape--it wouldn't print. Any help would be really appreciated.

I wouldn't think that you'd want to use a Label format at all, unless the Zebra printer's stock has multiple labels across the page (which I didn't think was usually done with Zebra printers, but I could be wrong...).

Just set your page size to the dimension of the label on the printer, no? Try just typing the point size for the font. Just because the size isn't listed in the dropdown doesn't (necessarily) mean that it can't be used...

Thanks Carl. Yes, I know about the User Defined. I have a lot of users who need to deal with Australian Avery label formats which don't appear in the list and it would be good to be able to extend the list with those formats already.

I will check that file out.

thanks
