Dear All,

We have configured a transport route configuration as below :

SND ->> Consolidation Route pointing to -->> DEV ->> Consolidation Route pointing to >> Transport Group(/ECQ/)->> QA1 & QA2 >> Delivery Route from QA1 & QA2 pointing to>> Transport Group (/PRD/) -->> PRD1 & PRD2 Systems

we have to configure the same in application side (SAP) by Extended Transport Control feature of STMS

I want to configure the back end feature of STMS.Kindly tell how to congiure for this configutration .

For information both Production & Quality servers are at different location . (i.e 1 QA & 1PROD ) , (1 QA & 1PROD ) )

Thanks

You can make a central transport directory via a nfs mount, or add the remote system to your stms landscape as a domain link.

Hi Suresh,

The easiest thing to do, is create a domain link between your two transport domains. When your QA and PROD systems on the different locations have the same system ID's, than this is even the only option, since a system ID needs to be unique within a transport domain.

Check the following link how to configure a domain link and some explanation about transport domains: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/44/b4a0e87acc11d1899e0000e829fbbd/frameset.htm

I have configured Common transport directory with NFS in all the system . i have mounted a new file system with the name (/export/usr/sap/trans ) in all system except in Sandbox Server , because we have kept that has the main domain .

Now the problem is in the parameter of all the system , if i kept TRANSDIR = export/usr/sap/trans , then also its not picking

this directory its taking only ( usr/sap/trans ) .Kindly help on this issue.what are the changes tobe made .

Hi Suresh,

Indeed, if you change the name of your transport directory, you have to change DIR_TRANS and DIR_EPS_ROOT.

What you can do in your case, is re-mount this NFS mount on /usr/sap/trans instead of /export/usr/sap/trans or create a symbolic link from /usr/sap/trans to /export/usr/sap/trans

Kind regards,

Mark
