batch of order component take more time

Hi PP expert,

Batch determination of production order component take more time near about 25 to 30 minute, i don't know how,kindly suggest me what do to do to take less time for generating batch determination

Hi,

Along with other experts suggesion you also check in MBC2

In MBC2 put your strategy type & Enter

Put your material ,plant & Execute

Next screen put material & Enter

Then select same line item ,click on Selection criteria ,put theri clas ( Which is used in material master of same material )

Go back

Select again same line item click on sort put their your sort rule ,Enter

Go back

SAVE

you have to do it for all material for which it is taking time.

Please try to do the ST05 and SE30 trace of your operation, there you may analyze which part is causing the most time, if it's the database causing the most time, then you may need to see which SQL is costing the most time in ST05, and check the table index, statistics and so on.

SE30:

Trace with transaction, input the transaction you want trace.

Variant: you can create a new one with the following:

Program(Parts): Particular Units [Tickon this one only]

Statements: no change

Duration/Type: You may adjust the Max. size of file and Maximum runtime base on your requirement, and

aggregation choose None.

Excute the trace, do the operation as normal till the step which has the performance problem, before that step, goto memu:

System->Utilities->Runtime Analysis->Swith on

then excute the steps to trace.

After trace is finished, goto SE30 again, press Evaluate, you can see the runtimes cost on ABAP, Database, and system, then press "'Hit list" sort it by NET colume, you will see which program or statement cost the most time.

ST05:

Activate the trace untill the steps, then deactivate the trace after the steps, display trace to check the SQL result.
