BOMM Install Error: The TCP/IP connection to the host has failed. java.net

Hello,

I am trying to install BOMM on Windows XP. When I get to the "Configure Metadata Management Repository database" dialog box, I enter the required "Connection details" (i.e. Connection type, Machine Name, Port number, Database name, User name, and Password). When I click the "Next" button I receive the following error message:

The TCP/IP connection to the host has failed. java.net.ConnectionException: Connection refused: connect

I can use the same information to log into the SQL Server 2005 database via "SQL Server Management Studio" application. I don't understand why BOMM cannot connect.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
