Jump to satellite system from service message

Former Member

Hi,

I'd like to know, weather it's possible to jump to the particular satellite system from a service message (CRMD_ORDER) in SAP standard.

My assumption was that the following action would be sufficient.

Application:: CRM_ORDER

Application actionprofile: SDHF_ACTIONS

Action: LOGON

Processing: methodcall: HF_EXECUTE_ACTION

Processing parameter: ACTION_ID = NAVIGATE_SYS

But somehow it doesn't work, instead the system shows this error message: "The action & was performed immediately."

What's wrong? Is that possible at all?

I would appreciate every hint, because it would really improve the acceptance of the SolMan service desk.

Regards

Georg

Hi George,

It is possible in Change Management when you do so via Corrections document and using the action you have mentioned.

Service desk action profile doesnt have this action in standard.

If required you can do config /development for requirement if you dont want to use Change management & support your scenario with Service desk only.

Hope it clarifies your doubt

Hi Georg,

First thing which is most important, please make the RFC Connection a Trusted connection. Once you have, test the connection to ensure that it does work well.

Hi Mark,

I changed all (_READ, _TMW, _TRUSTED, _LOGIN) RFC-connections to trusted-connection and checked the permissions as well. Everything looks fine to me, but it still doesn't work.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Georg

Hi Georg,

So just to confirm, when you are doing this, you are not getting any sort of a pop-up come up that will talk about logging on? Are you seeing any sorts of errors in ST22 perhaps? If you do, perhaps there may be some releavance there.

Are you able to test connection and also remote connect to the satellite system in question either from SM59 or SMSY?

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark,

I am only getting this message (type success): "The action connect to satellite system was performed immediately." Without any other pop-ups or hints.

The are no dumps and I checked the RFCs in SM59 and SMSY one more time without any problems.

Btw thanks for your patience.

Hi George

Have you filled the correct IBase in the ticket ...it must corresponds to the satellite system or your ECC etc system where you want to go to.

Pls visit IB53 press 1 and then enter ....check your exact ibase value here

and then in the ticket enter this value

Also in addition check S_RFC authorization for your userid........can you remote logon from SM59 also.

Hi Georg,

Have you tried this with multiple users? I'm thinking that it may be an authorization issue perhaps.

Hi,

I double checked IB53 and the RFCs in SMSY and SM59. The RFC user (my user) has SAP_ALL permissions on both systems, so this should be fine and the remote login is possible form both transactions as well.

My assumption is that there might be a wrong config in the action it self, since the success message appears without any other reaction.

Try giving your user the authorisation S_RFC and S_RFCACL, these are not included in SAP_ALL.

Hello Georg,

did you find a solution to your problem?

Hello Georg,

Yes, it is possible to connect to Satellite systems via transaction crmd_order.

Is it by any chance prompting you for the login information? If that is the case, it tends to be an indication that the trusted/trusting relationship has some problems. If so, could you please verify the RFCs that is connecting to your Satellite works well. On top of the connection test, please also verify that the Authorization test works well.

If that is still not enough, please also verify that your smsy setup and definition for CHARM has been defined correctly together with your STMS transport routing as well.

Hope this helps you out.

Thanks,

Mark

Hey Prakhar & Mark,

thx for the informations, good to know that it is at least possible.

Since we don't want to use the Change Management scenario for now, I copyed the LOGON action to our custom Service Desk action profile.

But like I said the result isn't really satisfying. There is no prompting for the login information at all. I also checked the RFC connections in SMSY, they seem to be ok as well. Does it need to be a trusted connection?

What do you mean by definition for CHARM and STMS transport routing in the Service Desk context?

Regards,

Georg
