MDKP table entries for MRP does not exist on new EP, last MRP was executed on 24 Dec with MRP list creation option but the line entries does not exist on this table for plant 1210 and 1240. On 28 Dec, there was an error related to MRP parallel processing for this plants on MRP background job but still the previous MRP list should be on the system. These line entries were maintained for both plants in order to run MRP.

Request you to help with what might be the root cause & how can this be resolved.

Thank you

Hello Vikram

MRP Lists will only be created when a material is planned by MRP. If there was an error on the last MRP run and those materials were not planned, then no MRP list was created.

Regarding the older MRP Lists, they can be deleted, using transaction MD08 or program RMMDKP01, in order to improve performance and avoid old data to be considered by the users.

I don't think this is a problem, since the next MRP run should generate the missing MRP Lists.

Caetano

Hi Caetano,

Thank you for your quick response.

You are right this is not the problem as when next MRP run it generate all the plant records but wanted to know why & how the entries for these two plant records completed wiped out.

It never happen before in old system. It occur in new system as the old system has be migrate & upgraded to HEC SAP ECC 6.0 EHP 8. Wanted to know how the MDKP Table behaves and on under what condition do the entire can be wiped out. Is there any SAP NOTE which can take care of it so that it won't happen in the future.

Thanks 🙂 🙂

Hello

I cannot think about any known issue or bug that leads to the deletion of the entries in MDKP. When they are missing it usually means that they were intentionally deleted and MRP did not plan those materials since then.

Keep monitoring your system and check if the issue ever happens again.

Caetano
