SFTP Destinations in SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.2 SP 5 using Private and Public Key

Hi All,

We are in the process of Setting up SFTP Destination in our SAP BO 4.2 SP 5.

SFTP server details HOST , User Name , Directory are avaliable.

But the SFTP Destination are asking us to use the Private Key for the password , so they are not providing the password.

can you please help in setup the Public Key and Private Key authentication with out password.

You need to have fingerprint code to send to SFTP location. You need to get this information from SFTP admin.

Hi Jawahar,

Thanks for the SAP Notes , my query is to use the Public Key for the password encryption process to transfer the File.

In most of the SFTP case , they would not provide the password for security reason and inform to use the Public Key.

If you check Filezilla or WinSCP - you have option to send file through Key File.

If such type of Public/Private Key is feasible in BO or else we need to check other options.
