Hi,
Has anyone encountered the above problem?
When I ran a transport via transaction STMS, the import monitor shows error code 8. When I drill down to look at the log, it actually shows error code 0 - which is successful.
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?
Thanks
Returen core 8 means there are some problem during activation of object, so please check the log properly, may be you missed out something,

Hello,
1) se01 --->logs
2)perform a test import of the request and if any errors are there it will tell you there it self once it is successful then go for the real import .
3)check each and every step if it has failed in ddic activation are ddic import or generation errors due to syntax errors if any such thing is there make changes in the corresponding program.
4)if error ocuurs due to repaired objects use u mode 6 ,if original objects are there the use u mode 2 ,for table class restrictions use u mode 8 .
hopefully this will help you.

HI,
your import wasnt sucessful.There is a '+' sign node at top, in SE09 where you checking this message.
Click on that, It will drop down the list of error whit in your objects (Involved in transport) and
paste here the import log.

Try rerunning the transport with TX: stms_import. This takes you directly to the transport queue of the system.
What options did you choose when doing the import?
